Ground broken on Chickasaw Heritage Center in Tupelo

SUMMARY: The Chickasaw Nation and Anadana Foundation are working on an important mission to teach the next generation by building the largest, most advanced educational center in Northeast Mississippi. The Chickasaw Heritage Center in Tupelo will cover 163 acres, offering visitors an opportunity to learn about Chickasaw history from their perspective. The groundbreaking ceremony revealed excitement from the community and highlighted the center's significance in connecting people to Chickasaw heritage. Governor of Chickasaw Nation noted the importance of understanding their history and appreciated the support for the $60 million project, expected to be completed by 2026.

The Chickasaw Inkana Foundation broke ground on Wednesday on its new heritage center.
