Electricians are essential in installing electrical, lighting, and control systems in buildings. Jeff Franks, Electrical Technology Program Director at ICC, aims to develop a steady stream of skilled workers to meet high demand. Students in the program can work in manufacturing, residential construction, and various environments across the U.S., earning while they learn. The median pay for electricians is over $60,000, with Mississippi requiring a license for the profession. This initiative ensures a continuous supply of proficient electricians, emphasizing safety and expertise.
