A Disaster Recovery Center opens in Scott County

SUMMARY: The Agency () and FEMA have opened a disaster recovery center in Scott County to assist survivors affected by the severe storms, tornadoes, and from April 8th and 11th. This is the fifth center opened since the federal disaster declaration on June 10, covering several counties. Located at 5335 Highway 80 in Forest, Mississippi, the center operates Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays until 2 p.m. Jim Homestead highlights that the center offers in-person assistance with disaster recovery specialists from various agencies. More centers are open in other counties and can be found on the organization's website.

This center is open Monday through Friday from 8 am until 6 pm and 8 am until 2 pm on Saturdays.
