Man arrested for allegedly breaking into home, shooting it up

SUMMARY: Jermaine McKinney, 43, was and charged with burglary, shooting into a dwelling, and possessing a weapon as a felon. Authorities that on June 14, McKinney allegedly broke into a home on 16th Section Road in Oktibbeha County, Miss., and began shooting. The victims managed to escape and call 911. Deputies found the door kicked in and bullet holes inside the home. McKinney later surrendered to Clay County deputies before being transferred to Oktibbeha County, where he remains in jail. Semi-truck load damages West Point bridge in Lowndes County.

19-year-old arrested in connection with fatal shooting in Columbus

SUMMARY: Columbus 19-year-old Jakody Moore for the murder of 16-year-old Marquez Carter Jr. a shooting on September 28. The incident, which occurred in the 200 block of Constance Lane, left Carter dead at the scene and a 17-year-old . Moore faces additional charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and is currently held at the Lowndes County Adult Detention Center.
