Jones College and areas such as Leaksville and Foxworth are experiencing particularly high temperatures, with Leaksville reaching 97°F. Some relief is found in Oak Grove, which is cooler at 87°F. Puffy cumulus and upper cirrus clouds offer minimal shade, with light and variable winds prevailing. Although there is a 40% chance of a tropical disturbance forming in the next week, it’s unlikely to impact the Pine Belt significantly. Expect lows around 74°F tonight, with mostly clear skies and temperatures climbing back to the upper 90s tomorrow. Rain chances won’t return until mid-next week.
