Reservoir restaurant is back open for business
SUMMARY: Cock of the Walk, a restaurant in Ridgeland, voluntarily closed due to health department concerns related to a broken pipe, insect and rodent droppings, and improper food storage. The closure followed claims by owner Bill Prisock that a disgruntled employee, fired after an altercation, made online threats and brought these issues to light. After comprehensive inspections and corrective measures by the Mississippi State Health Department, the restaurant has been cleared to reopen. Health inspectors spent considerable time ensuring all problems were resolved, allowing the establishment to continue its operations.
Cock of the Walk is back open after being shut down for 24 hours.

Hinds County supervisors want to move election commission to old military processing building
SUMMARY: The Hinds County Board of Supervisors is debating the future of a former military entrance processing building in downtown Jackson, currently serving as a voting precinct. While some supervisors propose renaming it the Hinds County Administration Building and relocating the Election Commission there, election officials argue that such a move before an election would be logistically challenging. They believe a master plan is essential to avoid misusing funds during renovations. The building is in Bobby McGowan's District Five, and he feels that other supervisors are overstepping by interfering with the district's affairs. Positive feedback has been received, but concerns remain about the timing and planning.
