Did You Know Elvis Was a Rancher and Cattleman?
SUMMARY: Elvis Presley, the legendary King of Rock ‘n' Roll, owned a lesser-known horse and cattle ranch in Horn Lake, Mississippi, called the Circle G Ranch. Elvis and his wife Priscilla honeymooned there and spent the first two years of their marriage on the property. Spanning 231 acres, the ranch provided a peaceful retreat away from the limelight. Elvis bought the ranch in 1967 and sold it in 1972. Despite not owning it for decades, his presence remains, and fans erected a historical marker there. Plans are underway to restore the property to showcase another side of Elvis's life.

Recipes to Get You Ready for July 4th
SUMMARY: As summer reaches its midpoint, the Fourth of July is a time to celebrate with flags, remember our heritage, and enjoy food with loved ones. Initially, I considered writing about flag displays or the historic July 2, 1776, independence declaration. Instead, I focused on sharing food tips, including a burger tip with chopped onions and peppers from Bess Robbins. For your Independence Day meal, I recommend a Sour Cream Flag Cake and a Watermelon Feta Flag Salad, both featuring patriotic colors. The cake includes layers of strawberries and blueberries, while the salad combines arugula, watermelon, and feta, dressed with a lemony vinaigrette. Bon Appetit!
