Interview: Starkville Police Department is gearing up for its first sneaker ball

SUMMARY: The Starkville Department is hosting its first “Sneaker Ball” on Saturday, June 29, from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the Gavo Sportsplex. The invites kids aged 5 to 17 to dress in their best attire and sneakers for an evening of dancing, food, and a guest speech by Pastor Floyd Lee III. It aims to foster positive relations between the police and the community by showing in a relaxed, human setting. Tickets are $20, with proceeds supporting National Night Out on August 6. Donations are welcome to sponsor ‘s attendance.
