A ridge of high pressure over the Mid-Atlantic is expected to shift west, bringing filtered sunshine by Wednesday and clearer skies on Thursday. Highs will reach the 90s by week‘s end, with potential triple-digit heat. Meanwhile, potential tropical cyclone one may develop near Texas.

Jackson man killed in apartment shooting in Byram; investigation underway
SUMMARY: A man is being charged with armed robbery after recently being on federal probation for another bank robbery. Meanwhile, Byram police are investigating a homicide following a deadly apartment shooting. Officers responded to reports of gunfire at the Reserve of Byram Apartments just before midnight on Friday. Upon arrival, they discovered an unresponsive man inside his apartment who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
