Man recovering after dog attack in Clay County

SUMMARY: A man in Clay County was severely attacked by two pit bulls after they broke loose from their chains and attacked a neighbor’s dog. The neighbor intervened to save his pet and was attacked by the dogs, resulting in serious injuries to his body and face. He had to be to the hospital, while the dog owner helped fend off the dogs. The dogs are now confined, but there are concerns about the “pack mentality” making them dangerous. Sheriff Eddie Scott states there are no laws to charge the owners unless the dogs were used illegally. The investigation continues.
