Road improvements coming to Wayne County
SUMMARY: Wayne County will commence a $5.8 million paving project on Highway 63, stretching 9 miles from State Route 63 and 184 in Wesboro to Clar. The project will include safety measures such as painting brighter white and yellow lines and installing more reflectors to improve visibility. Additional raised reflectors will be installed on highways 45, 84, 42, and 57 to enhance safety, particularly at night and in wet conditions. Drivers can expect single-lane traffic during construction, which could begin as early as this fall. Wayne County grants administrator Sean Dunlap highlights the overdue need for these improvements on heavily traveled roads.
Some of the most well-traveled roads in Wayne County require a little touching up.
