Tim Rogers, a multi-instrumentalist from Lucedale, Miss., has been a musician since childhood, starting with a drum set from Sears. Over the years, he recorded eight records locally, but recently recorded a new EP titled Kind Words & Cool Water in a Nashville studio. Inspired by a saying from a family friend, the EP includes seven songs about George County places and people, blending country and southern rock genres. Encouraged by his pastor and manager, Howard Lips Jr., Rogers connected with Cinderella Sound Studio and recorded with top musicians. Country Music Hall of Fame harmonica player Charlie McCoy also contributed, making the experience a dream come true for Rogers.
