Polished Salon and Spa gives out free haircuts for the homeless
SUMMARY: Our Lady of Fatima Church hosted an event today to help the homeless community, featuring free haircuts and beard trimmings provided by Polished Salon and Spa, who traveled from Gulfport. Owner and stylist Rachel Hollingworth highlighted the importance of these services in boosting the confidence of participants, potentially aiding them in job interviews or housing searches. The event also offered bottled water and snacks, aiming to provide a meaningful “hand up” rather than a handout. Attendees expressed gratitude for the effort, especially given the heat, and Hollingworth emphasized the importance of supporting those in need.
