Mobile home in Jackson catches flames; Cause under investigation
SUMMARY: A massive fire engulfed a mobile home on Gardenia Street in Jackson on Sunday, prompting an investigation by firefighters. The alarm was raised at approximately 1:53 PM. Neighbors reported hearing loud noises before witnessing the flames rapidly spreading, with one resident, Elton Williamson, describing it as sounding like “bullets going off.” The fire ultimately resulted in the complete loss of the mobile home and spread to adjacent properties, with reports of a camping trailer and nearby trees also catching fire. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries. This incident follows another fire at the same location two months earlier.
