MBI investigating officer-involved shooting in Alcorn County
SUMMARY: An investigation is underway in Alcorn County after deputies shot a man in Corinth on County Road 575. The Alcorn County Sheriff’s Office reported that they found a male threatening to harm himself and others with a weapon. The deputies then shot the man; his current condition is unknown. The officers involved did not sustain any serious injuries. The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation is handling the case and will provide more details as they become available.

SUMMARY: Two individuals are recovering after being rescued from an overturned boat in the Pearl River, located about a mile north of the Highway 44 Bridge. The Tri Community Fire Department responded to the incident last night and quickly located the two occupants, who were safe and reported no injuries.
