Saltillo Fire responds to flooding in subdivision

SUMMARY: Residents of the Willow Creek subdivision are drying out after severe flash flooding forced several evacuations. WTV's Jake White reports that the area frequently floods during heavy rains, frustrating many residents. The Fire Department issued a mandatory evacuation due to electrical risks inside homes. Chief Chris Jenkins described the flood as one of the worst he's seen, comparable to the 2019 flood, with over 10 homes affected. The city provided a community center for displaced residents. Saltillo residents were forced out of their homes due to flooding on Wednesday, and it isn't the first time in this particular area.
