Killebrew International Rodeo kicks off in Jackson on Thursday night
SUMMARY: The second annual Killebrew International Rodeo is set to take place in Jackson, Mississippi from June 6-8. Initially a memorial for the late Keath Killebrew, the event now has international status, drawing over 600 contestants from around the world. SUMMARY: After a multi-agency manhunt, Bricen John Rivers, 23, was arrested in Harrison County for the murder of ex-girlfriend Lauren Johansen, 22, whom he previously assaulted and kidnapped in Nashville. Johansen's family believes her death was preventable. Released from Davidson County jail on reduced bond, Rivers violated his terms by not reporting to a GPS monitoring company. Johansen was found dead in the back of her car. Her father stressed that proper tracking could have averted her death. Rivers faces a $1 million bond and is charged with murder, held at Harrison County Adult Detention Facility.
