Nettleton expands boil water alert to entire city
SUMMARY: The entire city of Nettleton is now under a boil water notice, announced today as part of a larger waterline replacement project. Initially, on Monday, the alert only covered a few streets, but it has now expanded to the whole city. Residents must boil their water for one minute before using it.

Petal police continuing investigation into deadly early-morning shooting
SUMMARY: An investigation is underway in Pedal following an early morning shooting that left 27-year-old Bernell Gold dead. Around 3:15 a.m., a woman reported to Pedal Police that her ex-boyfriend was banging on her door. After he forced his way inside, another man in the home shot him. Gold later died at the hospital. The Forest County Coroner identified the deceased, and no arrests have been made yet. The investigation continues.
