Southern Miss partners with U.S. Navy to develop AI solutions for undersea operations

SUMMARY: Elio Gonzalez Fombellida, 78, was arrested in Gulfport after striking a pedestrian who later died and collided with three vehicles. The incident occurred around 5:42 p.m. on Highway 49, where police discovered Fombellida in his car after he fled the scene of an earlier crash involving a UPS truck. He was apprehended without further incident. Authorities found cocaine in his possession, which he claimed belonged to a friend.
