Paving, lighting projects in store for Hub City
SUMMARY: Hattisburg is seeing improvements with multiple paving projects, including a repaving of Lincoln Road, which began last year. Residents have noticed the changes, and Mayor Toby Barker stresses ongoing efforts to enhance infrastructure in every neighborhood. Future projects include increasing visibility on Highway 11 and adding lights for the first time, as well as enhancing connectivity in West, South, and East Hattisburg through systematic road improvements. Broadway Drive, which connects to Highway 11, was repaved last year, and lighting construction is set to start soon. These efforts aim to connect various parts of the city more effectively.
Folks driving down Lincoln Road now have visible lines and clear turning lanes now that paving is completed.
