Mississippi medical cannabis companies to receive $6.3M from lawsuit against Rapid Analytics
SUMMARY: Two Mississippi medical cannabis companies, FerrCann, Inc., and SADUJA, LLC, will receive over $6.3 million following financial losses from a product recall. The Mississippi Independent Cannabis Association (MICA) stated the recall occurred after an administrative hold was placed on products tested at Rapid Analytics. The Mississippi health department investigated the lab for faulty practices, including pesticide use and mycotoxins presence. Dispensaries were directed to stop selling such products pending retesting, impacting 70% of the state’s supply. Legal proceedings favored the two companies for financial recompense. MICA urges other affected businesses to seek support, while the health department moves to revoke Rapid Analytics’ license.
