Expect steady rainfall, downpours, and some thunderstorms, particularly in the eastern zones, with rain continuing into Saturday morning. Severe weather is possible overnight, primarily with damaging winds. Saturday will start wetter, gradually drying by midday with hit-and-miss showers into the evening. Sunday will be drier but still rainy. Temperatures will range from the low to mid-80s, with risks of localized due to additional 1-3 inches of rain. Expect unsettled weather into early June, clearing up by next Friday.

Hattiesburg man arrested in connection to Smith County bomb threat

Fire contained quickly in Lamar County Friday
