5 guys rescued after being stranded in the Gulf — faith and this device saved their lives

SUMMARY: Five friends from , Mississippi, went fishing 35-40 miles offshore when their boat sank due to engine failure. Easton Barrett, who recorded the incident, described how the boat was submerged by 9:30 AM, leaving them floating with only lifejackets and coolers. Using an Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon (EPIRB), they alerted the Coast Guard after floating for over four hours. Despite initially being missed by rescuers, continuous signaling with the EPIRB eventually led to their rescue. The were safely returned to shore, and Barrett emphasized the -saving importance of an EPIRB on boats.
