USM keeps postseason run going with first year head coach
SUMMARY: The Golden Eagles of Hattiesburg are entering the NCAA Tournament for the eighth consecutive year as Sun Belt Conference champions for the second straight time. This year, they are led by new head coach Chris Ostrander, who won a Sun Belt title in his first season. Ostrander, a long-time staff member during the Eric Berry years, has successfully led the team without any drop-off in performance. Players praise Ostrander’s knowledge of pitching, hitting, and winning. The team’s first game in the NCAA Regional will be against Indiana in Knoxville this Friday at noon. Back to you, Troy and Megan.
Southern Miss has a new head coach in Chris Ostrander but nothing has changed for the Golden Eagles. They repeated as Sun Belt Tournament Champions and are back in the NCAA Tournament for the 8th year in a row. The first year head coach and the team are trying to keep the postseason tradition alive for the Golden Eagles.
