In the bottom of the third, Drew Hollman hit a double to center field, driving in two runs and putting the Urchins up 3-0. A controversial call in the top of the fifth, deemed safe by the umpires, cut the lead to one. St. Andrews then took the lead, scoring five in the sixth inning. The Urchins couldn’t recover and lost 9-4 in the 2A title game. Head coach Jamie Russell emphasized the need for this loss to motivate the team for next year’s championship run.

Fugitive wanted after 7.5 pounds of cocaine seized in Clay County bust

Smithville issues boil water notice for all customers
