SUMMARY: A manhunt in Harrison County concluded with the arrest of Bricen John Rivers, charged with one count of murder. Deputies responded to Wolf River Cemetery, where they found Rivers running into the woods. A deceased woman, 22-year-old Lauren Johansen of Gulfport, was found in the vehicle Rivers fled from. Johansen, reported missing July 2, attended school in Hattiesburg. Multiple law enforcement agencies assisted in the search, ultimately locating Rivers and arresting him. He is held at Harrison County Adult Detention Facility on a $1 million bond.

Sheriff Joel Houston confirmed that investigators' swift actions prevented a possible tragedy. Hutchinson was charged with two felony murder attempt offenses and had his bond set at $100,000. The case will be prosecuted by the District Attorney's Office of the 13th District.

Engineer charged with obstruction of justice following 2017 plane crash that killed 16 military members
