Jackson_George Regional Library System preparing to kick off summer reading program

Author Ace Atkins previews his new southern crime thriller
SUMMARY: Ace Atkins is celebrating the release of his 30th book, “Don't Let The Devil Ride,” a Southern crime thriller. Originally from Florida, Atkins now resides in Oxford, Mississippi. The book features a wealthy Memphis woman, Addison McKel, whose husband disappears, prompting her to hire veteran detective Porter Hayes. The story spans locations from Memphis to Dubai and Paris. Atkins, a former crime journalist, finds the crime genre rich with complex, meaningful, and sometimes humorous stories. Oxford, with its literary history and Square Books, provides a conducive environment for his writing. He is launching a nationwide book tour, starting in Oxford.
