The small fire broke out last night, prompting investigators and law enforcement to ask neighbors for surveillance footage. While the fire chief couldn't confirm if this is a potential arson case, he acknowledged the presence of an accelerant and noted that samples have been sent to the crime lab for analysis. Fortunately, there were no injuries, and the damage inside the home is minimal.

A woman reported her ex-boyfriend was banging on her door before forcing his way in. A second man in the home fired a gun, striking the intruder. The man was rushed to a local hospital but later died. Names are withheld pending family notification, and no arrests have been made.
