Ocean Springs Board of Aldermen approve creation of TIF district
SUMMARY: Tonight on WLX News at 10: The Ocean Springs Board of Aldermen has approved a new hotel funding project, which will soon start construction at Government Street and Pine Drive. The board passed a vote to create a TIF district for a Curio Line Hotel and Conference Center. The multi-million dollar project includes a restaurant, retail stores, 108 rooms, and the creation of 100 new jobs. Under the Tax Increment Financing plan, the city will reimburse the developer for construction costs. Mayor Holloway mentioned that planning is in its early stages and further details on the TIF will be released later.
