Report: Almost all public universities in Mississippi to increase tuition
SUMMARY: College tuition in Mississippi is increasing, with all but one university raising prices this year. According to a report by Mississippi Today, students can expect to pay around $9,000 annually, a 3% increase from last year. The Institutions for Higher Learning Board of Trustees attributes the rise to severe weather and escalating property insurance costs. For example, Mississippi State University’s tuition will climb to about $10,000. While some students face difficulties adjusting to these changes, Delta State University aims to keep tuition steady to support economically vulnerable students. Well, not directly affected, individuals like Kyler Curry express concerns about the financial strain on students.
