Pearl River softball earns nine All-MACCC awards
SUMMARY: Following a second consecutive 40-win season, the Pearl River softball team celebrated numerous accolades as eight Wildcats were distinguished in the All-Conference teams by the Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference (MACCC). Natalie Herrington was honored as the MACCC Pitcher of the Year and secured a First Team All-MACCC spot due to her standout performance, including a 1.69 ERA and 184 strikeouts over 169 1/3 innings. Lainee Bailey and Morgan Lavergne also earned places on the First Team All-MACCC due to their exceptional contributions. Additionally, Peyton Hoffmayer and Bryn Daughtery received Second Team honors, while Natalie Toups and Caroline Lindsey were recognized with Honorable Mentions. Coach Christie Meeks praised the hard work and dedication of the awarded players, highlighting their commitment on the field, in the classroom, and in representing Pearl River positively.

Gulfport’s 35-0 Victory Is The Shine On Rainy Night In Vancleave
SUMMARY: In challenging weather conditions at Vancleave Stadium, the Gulfport Admirals (2-0) achieved a convincing 35-0 victory over the Bulldogs (0-2). Despite the muddy field, Gulfport’s offense thrived under coach Blake Pennock, racking up 424 total yards, with quarterback Dane Sullivan throwing for 240 yards and four touchdowns. PRCC volleyball comes up short on opening day of Alabama/Mississippi Crossover Tournament
SUMMARY: The Pearl River volleyball team faced a challenging opening day at the Alabama/Mississippi Crossover Tournament in Hanceville, Alabama, losing both matches. They first fell to Lurleen B.
