Despite the annoyance, the cicadas serve as a natural phenomenon that offers educational opportunities and a chance to learn more about their life cycle. Gabe Mayor from WTV A9 News reported on the noisy bugs.

The cicadas are screaming, and though it may be annoying, one school says they are a helpful tool.

Union County industrial park receiving more than $3 million for 2 projects
