SUMMARY: Former Pedal Elementary School teacher Tyler SH turned himself in to police and is facing multiple charges related to sex crimes and inappropriate conduct with students. The charges include touching a child for lustful purposes and disseminating sexually explicit material. SH was an award-winning teacher and is accused of providing alcohol and marijuana to teenagers at his residence in Pedal. The investigation started with an allegation from a concerned parent and there are currently three male victims identified. Pedal school district superintendent Dr. Matthew Dylan stated that the safety and welfare of students is the top priority. SH was booked in Forest County Jail with a bond set at $125,000. Further details will be provided at 6:00 PM, including when the school district alerted the police and additional information from the Pedal police chief.

According to officials, Tyler Shows turned himself in to the Petal Police Department Thursday afternoon, with his attorney by his side.

Bobby Wood is the latest artist to get a marker on the Mississippi Country Music Trail.

Vardaman working to clear fire debris in time for sweet potato festival
