National Small Business Week highlighting efforts of local store owners
SUMMARY: Business Week highlights the importance of shopping locally and supporting small businesses. Despite the rise of online shopping, store owners like Lee Tracy in Ocean Springs emphasize the benefits of shopping local. Research shows that for every $100 spent at a local business, $80 stays in the community. Tiffany Lowry and Kinsey Robertson stress the importance of human customer service and building connections with customers. National Small Business Week celebrates the hard work of Mom and Pop stores and encourages community support. Supporting small businesses not only benefits the local economy but also creates a sense of connection and personal service that online shopping can’t provide.
Thousands of locations are sharing the importance of shopping locally despite the rise of online platforms.
