Lake Bogue Homa restoration efforts in Jones County
SUMMARY: Leaders in Jones County are teaming up for the Lake Boma restoration project, with a fundraiser aimed at bringing in new equipment and beautifying the area. Lake B has been neglected over the years, prompting a community effort to revitalize it with a new playground, welcome sign, and other enhancements. The lake is known for fishing and boating, but hasn’t seen renovations since the late 2000s. An upcoming bass fishing tournament is the first step in raising funds for the restoration project, with cash prizes for top anglers. The goal is to attract visitors and bring attention to this hidden gem in south Mississippi.
