The team is prepared to provide vital support as needed.

Several firefighters from across north Mississippi are already in Florida to help with Hurricane Helene relief.

SUMMARY: A fire near Lake Pingo in Lee County destroyed a house this morning, according to Morville Fire Chief Jason Parker. The homeowner was cooking breakfast when she stepped outside to walk her dog and forgot about the stove. The flames rapidly spread, and the house was engulfed in flames within 11 minutes. By the time firefighters arrived, the roof had already collapsed.
