LeBlanc, Franklin lead All-SAA honors for Millsaps women’s basketball

SUMMARY: Millsaps College garnered major accolades in the Southern Athletic Association (SAA) women’s basketball postseason awards. Head coach Justin LeBlanc was named SAA Coach of the Year after guiding the Lady Majors to their first regular-season conference title since the 2020-21 season. This marks LeBlanc’s third award since his tenure began eight years ago. Junior guard Haley Franklin was honored as the SAA Women’s Basketball Player of the Year, leading the conference with an average of 18.7 points per game and a second-best field goal percentage of 48.2%. She also excels in minutes played, free throws, rebounds, assists, and blocks. Elyse Warren and Garin Freeman also received honors. Millsaps will next compete against Rhodes in the SAA Tournament.

Clinton siblings sentenced to prison for trying to have stepfather murdered

Joshua received a 120-month prison sentence after being convicted of conspiracy to commit murder for hire, while Regan was sentenced to 65 months after pleading guilty to the same charge. Jackson State football cleared of any wrongdoing amid allegations of film spying
