SUMMARY: Mid 40s. Tuesday will be sunny to mostly sunny with highs in the upper 60s and clear skies, turning cool in the evening. Wednesday will be sunny and much warmer, with temperatures in the mid 70s and clear skies. Thursday will be partly cloudy and breezy with highs in the mid 70s, followed by a sunny day on Friday with highs in the lower 70s. Saturday and Sunday are also expected to be dry with highs in the mid 70s. gusts possible on Friday.

Celebration of Hope: Regional Rehabilitation Center is helping Jarred Grimes find his new normal
SUMMARY: Jared Grimes, a Tupelo man, experienced a life-altering event when a tree fell on him while playing golf with his wife, Hannah, during a tournament. Initially fearing he might become quadriplegic due to severe injuries, including a broken neck, he underwent multiple surgeries. After limited rehabilitation at another facility, he found help at Regional Rehab, a nonprofit providing weekly physical and occupational therapy at no cost. Grateful for their support, Jared is regaining his independence, participating in activities like teaching tennis and managing household chores, illustrating the transformative impact of accessible rehabilitation services.
The Regional Rehabilitation Center is helping Jarred Grimes find his new normal. Our Celebration of Hope telethon is happening on Sunday, Nov. 10.

SUMMARY: Tuesday morning was warm, cloudy, and windy, similar to Monday, with afternoon temperatures reaching 83-84ยฐF and gusts of 20-25 mph. Showers are expected in Leak, Scott, and Smith counties between 5 and 8 p.m., so voters in those areas should bring rain gear. Meanwhile, eastern Mississippi and western Alabama will see mid to lower 70s without rain. Temperatures remain above average through Wednesday in the low 80s but will dip slightly with showers on Thursday and Friday. Tropical Storm Raphael is set to become a Category 1 hurricane before impacting the Gulf, primarily bringing heavy rainfall. Clearing is expected Sunday and Monday.
