Developed in Memphis, Tennessee, the 40-hour intensive training program is endorsed by law enforcement, mental health providers, and consumers of mental health services. Dr. Tiffany Anderson emphasizes the collaborative effort of multiple organizations, including the Community Mental Health Center, hospitals, crisis stabilization units, peers, and NAMI. She has observed a significant decrease in fatalities involving law enforcement and individuals experiencing mental health crises.
