Demands to stop selling guns in Jackson
SUMMARY: Reset Jackson led a rally to urge the state to pass the Capital City Gun Safety Act, which would stop the sale of firearms and ammunition in Jackson. They believe this legislation would decrease the high volume of gun violence, which has already resulted in over 10 homicides in the city. The rally featured a motorcade of funeral cars to represent the next group of Jacksonians at risk of losing their lives to gun violence. They are calling for action before the current legislative session is over and have presented their bill at the Capitol in hopes of gaining support.
