Gulfport man found guilty of possessing meth, firearm by a convicted felon

SUMMARY: Mark Anthony Robillia, a 54-year-old man from Gulfport, was convicted by a federal jury for methamphetamine possession with intent to distribute and for being a felon in possession of a firearm. His conviction followed a two-day trial in the U.S. District Court in Gulfport. When authorities executed a search warrant at Robillia’s residence on December 1, 2022, they found four firearms, identification cards belonging to him, and a letter addressed to him. Further investigation led to the discovery of a fifth firearm and 40 grams of meth in 13 separate bags. Robillia, who had previous convictions for aggravated assault, firearm possession as a felon, and drug distribution, faces up to 20 years for the drug charge and 15 years for the firearm charge, with sentencing scheduled for May 14.
