Gov. Tate Reeves joins GOP governors in Texas to push for more border security
SUMMARY: Texas Gov. Greg Abbott and 12 GOP governors, including Mississippi’s Tate Reeves, met in Eagle Pass to support Abbott’s border security initiative. They criticized President Biden for what they see as a lax immigration stance, calling it an “invasion.” Abbott vows to expand operations along the border, while Reeves urges a vote for Donald Trump to protect national security. The governors’ stance follows a Supreme Court decision and record-high migrant border crossings in December. A bipartisan bill proposing stricter border control and asylum policies is under consideration, linking aid to global allies with tougher border measures.

Medical experts indicated that Gregg was aware of her actions. She received two concurrent life sentences for first-degree murder and attempted murder, along with an additional 10 years for tampering with evidence. An appeal is planned.
