2 arrested for sex crimes against minors
SUMMARY: Two men from Mississippi have been arrested on separate charges of sex crimes involving minors. Ellis Cenales, 43, from the Mississippi Gulf Coast, was detained following an investigation by the Biloxi Police Department that led to accusations of sexual battery, production and possession of child pornography, and touching a child for lustful purposes involving a minor under 16. Cenales’ bond is set at $1 million.
In DeSoto County, Aaron Whitten was arrested by sheriff’s deputies after an investigation at his Horn Lake home unearthed materials suggesting possession and distribution of child pornography. Whitten awaits a bond hearing in the DeSoto County Adult Detention Facility. Both arrests underscore ongoing efforts to combat sexual exploitation of minors.

Ole Miss drops to No. 14 in latest College Football poll after Florida loss
SUMMARY: The Ole Miss football team’s chances of making the College Football Playoff are severely diminished following a 24-17 loss to unranked Florida, marking their third defeat this season. Ranked No. 13, Ole Miss struggled with turnovers and red zone inefficiencies, converting just three of 14 third-down attempts. Quarterback Jaxson Dart threw for 323 yards but made critical mistakes late in the game. Despite setbacks, including the absence of starting running back Henry Parrish Jr., the Rebels cling to playoff hope. They must win the Egg Bowl against Mississippi State and rely on several key upsets to remain in contention.
