Flowood businessman, author to be sentenced on Tuesday for severely beating wife
SUMMARY: Jason Todd Mardis, a 54-year-old businessman from Rankin County, will receive his sentencing after pleading guilty to brutally assaulting his wife Kimberly Mardis in October 2022, resulting in her sustaining multiple severe injuries. Mardis was apprehended in Tampa, Florida, following the incident. In March 2023, he broke the conditions of his bond by being spotted at a steakhouse with his wife, leading a judge to revoke his bail. The founder and former president of Capital Preservation Services, Mardis, is scheduled to be sentenced at 1 p.m. on Tuesday.
