Alabama roadways are still icy as some counties ran out of salt

Expect mostly sunny skies today with a high near 91°F and milder humidity compared to earlier summer months. The forecast shows no rain for the next week, and a potential area of low pressure may develop in the Gulf within seven days, but nothing is currently tracking. Tonight’s low will be around 69°F. Teens arrested for murder on Watkins drive
SUMMARY: Two 16-year-old teens have been arrested by the Jackson Police Department in connection with the fatal shooting of 17-year-old Jaden Morgan, a senior at Callaway High School. The incident occurred on Watkins Drive when the suspects allegedly attempted to rob Morgan, who was pronounced dead at the scene. The police are continuing their investigation into the matter.

Deadly bus crash happens in Pike County
SUMMARY: Two people died in a bus accident on Highway 98 in Pike County, as reported by the Mississippi Highway Patrol. The incident occurred Thursday evening around 5:30 PM when a bus belonging to Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, traveling westbound, collided with a red Ford Ranger. Investigators confirmed that the two individuals in the Ranger did not survive the crash.
