Ole Miss, MSU baseball go unranked in D1Baseball’s Preseason Top 25 Poll for first time since 2017

SUMMARY: Mississippi State and Ole Miss were not included in D1Baseball’s Preseason Top 25 rankings for the first time since 2017. They had a combined 15-45 record in SEC play last season and did not make the conference tournament. Both teams had a historic run as back-to-back national champions in 2021 and 2022, but finished near the bottom of the SEC standings. Eight SEC programs made the cut, with six in the top 10 and three in the top five. One killed, three injured during Rankin County crash
