SUMMARY: Chicago experienced heavy snowfall, leading to a messy morning with slippery roads and cancelled flights. Schools closed and the snow is expected to continue, getting heavier by the evening rush hour. The temperatures are around freezing for now, but are expected to plummet to single digits by tomorrow. The snow is wet and heavy, sticking to everything and making it dangerous for travel. The consistency of the snow may change in the afternoon and start to blow and drift around at night. This storm is affecting much of the Midwest, leading to unsafe conditions.

Meteorologist Jim Cantore reports from Chicago with the latest on the winter storm bringing snow and heavy winds to the Midwest.
