The Starkville Police Department earns accreditation

SUMMARY: This morning, the Starkville Police Department received re-accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies and the Mississippi Law Enforcement Accreditation Commission. The department has been accredited by CA since 2012 and by MS LEAC since 2007. To receive accreditation, the department had to comply with 216 law enforcement best practice standards. The goals for both agencies are to strengthen crime prevention, improve management procedures, establish fair practices, enhance service delivery, and increase citizen confidence.

Heat being blamed for crack in Booneville road
