Arkansas man sentenced for threatening mass shooting at Mississippi school

SUMMARY: Kenneth Allen Moody, a 33-year-old man, was sentenced to 18 months in federal prison for making a threatening phone call to the Vidalia Police Department in July 2022. In the call, Moody stated that he was going to commit a mass shooting at Natchez High School in Mississippi and admitted to making the call with the intent to make a threat. The call was traced to a device in Hot Springs, Arkansas with subscriber information belonging to Moody, who was living in the Vidalia area at the time. Moody was charged with interstate communication of a threat and will serve time in prison for his actions.
