Woman’s purse stolen at Food Giant in Columbus

SUMMARY: An 88-year-old woman had her purse stolen from her shopping cart at Food Giant Supermarket in East Columbus. The incident occurred just after 9:00 a.m. The Columbus Police are asking for help to identify the thief, who grabbed the purse and ran away with it. The empty purse was later found nearby. Chief Joseph Daughtry stated that the public can remain anonymous if they know the man in the photo. Columbus PD or Crimestoppers can be called if the man in the photo is recognized, and there is a number available to use the P3 app for smartphones.
